Behind the food scare stories there lies a fundamental question about why people buy cheap food without knowing its origins. Asking around some Green activists has produced the following thoughts.

EK Fairtrade Big Sign Up and coffee morning

Glebe Street Hall, Old Parish Church, EK

At the coffee morning, there will be a display of Fairtrade Posters done by children from various primary schools in the town, and the winners of the competition will receive their prizes, around about 11am. There will also be Stalls with Fairtrade goods, Traidcraft gifts, cards etc.

 

Fairtrade Fortnight: Take a step

Fairtrade Fortnight invites us to Take A Step this year. Your step for Fairtrade can be as simple as trying a new Fairtrade product, or as big and bold as launching a campaign to get your whole town to go Fairtrade. Every step counts towards the total of 1.5 million they're hoping to achieve by the end of 2012 – one for every farmer and worker Fairtrade aims to work with around the world.
