Funded course inspiring young green interest

If you are under 30 years old the Green Economics Foundation has a limited number of places on a Youth in Action project running during May 2012. It bills itself as an intensive 7 day course, with field trips and the like in and around Oxford, London and the South East. It is funded by the European Union and the British Council and has a focus on employment in a greener economy.

Forth Environment Link (FEL) Orchard Training Programme

FEL are pleased to announce the launch of the Forth Valley Orchard Training Programme for 2011/2012, which has been funded by the Central Scotland Green Network Development Fund.
These workshops are free but residents of Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling areas will be given priority booking.  Places are limited to 15 per event so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Environmental Volunteers training and networking

South Lanarkshire Environmental Volunteer Network consists of volunteer groups throughout South Lanarkshire involved with projects in their local environment and greenspaces. At the moment 25 different volunteer groups carry out projects like managing Local Nature Reserves, taking part in horticulture and allotments, Beautiful Scotland in Bloom etc.
