Kirsten Robb, Scottish Green Party parliamentary candidate for Central region, joined forces with community group Brighter Bothwell to give the town a Spring Clean last Saturday.
Part of National Spring Clean campaign, Kirsten commented on the day,
Each year thousands of participants ‘green up’ their local park, woodland, cycle path, hillside or neighbourhood by taking part in a voluntary litter pick. In April this year over 83,000 enthusiastic litter pickers united to give Scotland a timely spring clean. And due to popular demand, the campaign period will be extended for the first time ever in 2011 from one month to two - making it easier for even more people to take part.
