Supporting and signing up to local Earth Hour action, Lanarkshire Green campaigners argue that local authorities can act to help us live more sustainable lives all year round. Organisers of Earth Hour, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) have produced a list of  election pledges and are asking local candidates to sign up to them (1).

Earth Hour action

Local campaigners are encouraging East Kilbride people to show they care about tackling climate change and protecting the natural world by signing up to the international Earth Hour. World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) organise the global 'lights off' event which takes place on Saturday March 26th from 8.30pm-9.30pm. The conservation group will be bringing along their Giant Pandas to a stall in EK Town Centre on Tuesday 16th March (9am-6pm) to talk to local people and encourage them to sign up.
