It was fantastic to see so many Green candidates stand for election last Thursday in Scotland, all of whom did themselves and the party proud.

Launch of Westminster Campaign for Dumfries, Clydesdale and Tweeddale

Scottish Green Party members will launch their campaign for the Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale constituency in Peebles on Saturday 21st February. Local Greens are backing Peebles man Jody Jamieson for the seat, currently held by David Mundell MP.

Launch of 2015 Election Campaign for Dumfries, Clydesdale and Tweedale


The launch will take place from 3pm at The County Hotel, 35 High Street, Peebles EH45 8AN. Co-convener of the Scottish Greens, Patrick Harvie MSP will speak at the campaign launch.
It will be preceded by a street stall on Veitch’s corner from 1.30pm.

Vote Green on May 7th

Jody Jamieson is the Scotttish Green Party candidate for Dumfries, Clydesdale and Tweeddale for the Westminster election on 7th May.  

Green Policies

Key Green Policies include:

  • More jobs and less inequality: - a £10 minimum wages for all by 2020.
  • Public services in public hands:  - railways in public ownership. 
  • A radical democracy: - people in control of Westminster and workplaces.
